What makes Future Filmmakers unique is its unapologetic commitment...
to Emerging Artists.
Supporters of every background are welcome to donate, sponsor artists, attend public events, and help our creators thrive.
We envision DEMS Future Filmmakers Academy as a community-powered funding and development network for emerging artists who hail from underrepresented communities in the industry, including neurodivergent students, students with disabilities, minority students, and justice adjacent. We aspire to make filmmaking accessible to all youth no matter their identification, or financial background.
A place where diverse young creatives are paired with educators and professionals who offer support and training to curate a future where young filmmakers are free to
fund our own visions.
tell our own stories.
celebrate our own brilliance.
And we will build the stage together.
